FAQ

The questions we get asked most often.

If your question is not here, the easiest way to get an answer is a quick phone call. Happy to talk things through before you book.

Do I need a referral to see a physio?
No, you can book a physiotherapy appointment directly with Komplete without a GP referral. Referrals are only needed when you are claiming a Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plan rebate, or treatment under WorkCover, CTP, or Support at Home. For all of those, bring the paperwork or reference number to your first session.
How much does a physio session cost in Schofields?
Komplete's standard consult is $100 for 30 minutes, and the initial consult is $120 for 45 minutes. Home visits are $150 for the initial (60 minutes) and $120 for follow-ups (45 minutes). A free phone consult is also available if you would like to talk through your situation before booking. All prices are total amounts, listed in line with AHPRA transparent pricing requirements.
Can I claim physio on Medicare?
Medicare covers physiotherapy when your GP places you on a Chronic Condition Management Plan and provides a referral. Eligible patients can receive up to five rebated visits per calendar year across all allied health providers combined. Bring the referral and the MBS item details from your GP to the first appointment, and the rebate is processed after each session. The standard fee is $100; Medicare reimburses part of it and you pay the gap on the day.
Does private health insurance cover physiotherapy?
Most extras policies include physiotherapy benefits, though the level of cover varies between funds and policies. If your fund is on HICAPS, Komplete can process your rebate on the spot and you pay only the gap. If not, you pay the full fee and submit the receipt to your fund. Check your annual physiotherapy limit if you are unsure how much cover remains.
Can I use my Home Care Package or Support at Home for physio?
Support at Home replaced the Home Care Package program on 1 November 2025. Physiotherapy is funded under Clinical Supports with no patient contribution for eligible older adults. Komplete works alongside your care manager to schedule visits within your plan. If you are not yet assessed, the process starts with a free assessment via My Aged Care.
How do I claim physio under WorkCover NSW or CTP?
Bring your claim number, insurer name, case manager contact, and the approved treatment plan from your nominated treating doctor to the first session. Komplete then invoices the insurer directly at the scheduled rate, so there is no out-of-pocket cost to you while your claim is approved. If treatment approval is still in progress, you can attend privately first and reconcile the cost once approval comes through.
What should I wear to my first physio appointment?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, ideally with easy access to the area being treated. For lower back, hip, or knee issues, shorts are useful. For neck, shoulder, or upper back, a singlet or t-shirt works well. If you are coming for a home visit, anything you would normally wear at home is fine.
Do you offer home visits for elderly patients?
Yes, home visits are a core part of Komplete's work across Schofields, Tallawong, The Ponds, Nirimba Fields, and Quakers Hill. They are particularly useful for older adults, Support at Home recipients, and the first weeks after surgery. Family members are welcome to attend, and updates can be sent to the GP or care manager on request.
